Clean Sweep Hazardous Waste Collection Planned

Are you looking for a safe and environmentally responsible manner to dispose of unwanted chemicals from your barn, basement, garage, workshop, kitchen or bathroom?

Then plan to attend the August 10, 2018 Green Lake County Hazardous Waste Clean Sweep from 11AM to 5PM at the Green Lake County Highway Facility, 570 South Street in Green Lake.

Pre-registration is required.

Household hazardous waste items include: agricultural chemicals, lawn and garden products, household cleaners, poisons, oil based paints and paint related products, rechargeable batteries, mercury thermometers, swimming pool chemicals, antifreeze, fluorescent bulbs, waste oil and many other items.

Chemical items are FREE to dispose of for Green Lake County residents and landowners.  Businesses must pay a disposal fee.

EWASTE will be collected for a fee.

Household EWASTE includes things like microwaves, dehumidifiers, TVs, VCRs, personal computers (PCs) and computer components, monitors and cathode ray tubes (CRTs), office equipment, calculators, game systems, phones, wires/cables, etc…. NO white goods will be accepted (NO stoves, refrigerators, freezers).

TIRES will be collected for a fee.
