Information:

   On Thursday, July 7, 5:55pm, the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single vehicle crash involving an Amish buggy occurring on Cth.B east of Cth.H in the Township of Kingston, Green Lake County. Deputy staff and emergency responders were notified and responded to the scene.

   Arriving at the crash site, 6:08pm, the injured were attended to and the crash investigated. Initial indications are that a horse and buggy combination, being operated by a Devon Schlabach, age 29, Dalton, was westbound on Cth.B when the horse became spooked. The horse and buggy then left the roadway entering the north ditch. The buggy then overturned with five additional occupants inside, Laura Schlabach, age 28, Joetta Schlabach, age 13, Joel Schlabach, age 6, Dora Schlabach, age 4, and Larry Schlabach, age 6 months, all from Dalton. Medical treatment was sought, all injuries appear to be non-life threatening. The horse ran from the scene.

   This incident was responded to by the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Southern Green Lake County Ambulance, Kingston, Marquette, and Dalton Fire and First Responders, and Markesan Emergency Management. This incident remains under investigation by the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office
