Sex Offender Release - Waushara/Green Lake County Border

Sexual Offender Release

The Waushara County Sheriff's Office, in coordination with the Green Lake County Sheriff's Office and Berlin Police Department, are releasing information pursuant Wisconsin State Statute #301.45 and #301.46 (Act 440), which authorizes law enforcement agencies to inform the public of a sex offenders release when, in the discretion of the agency, the release of information will enhance public safety and protection.

The individual who appears on this notification has been convicted of a sex offense that requires registration. Further, this individual's previous criminal history places him in a classification level which reflects the potential to reoffend.

This offender has served the sentence imposed on him by the courts and has relocated to Waushara County, north-west of Berlin. This person is not wanted by law enforcement at this time.

This notification and release of information is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is law enforcement's belief that an informed public is a safer public.

Sex offenders have always lived in our communities, but it was not until passage of Act 440 that law enforcement even knew where they were living. In many cases, law enforcement is now able to share that information with the public.

Citizen abuse of this information, to threaten, intimidate, or harass registered sex offenders will not be tolerated.
