Attempted Burglary

Location of Crime:Lanterns Supper Club, 649 N Margaret St, Markesan, WI

Information:

In the early morning hours of Monday, June 28, 2010, suspects unknown attempted to burglarize the Lanterns Supper Club in the City of Markesan.  The unknown suspects  attempted entry into the business by using a pry bar on exterior doorknobs.   Two window screens were also cut and one window was broken.  Several hundred dollars of damage was done by these actions.    

The Markesan Police Department seeks the identity of those involved in this crime.

Location of Crime:Princeton Locks, Public Fishing Area; Lock Rd, Town of Princeton
Crime Status:UNSOLVED - we need a tip
Information:

On Tuesday, June 15th, 2010, between the hours of 7:00pm-11:00pm several fishing items were stolen from a truck and boat parked at the Princeton Locks.   Subjects unknown removed 5 fishing rods, 2 anchors, 50 lb. fish scale, 35 mm camera, lake maps, video camera, soft tackle box with artificial baits, stainless steel boat prop, digital camera, fillet knives, 48 quart cooler, jumper cables, and a GPS unit.  The total cost of this theft was over $3,000.00.

Damage to Property-Laper Park

Information:

Within the hours of darkness on Friday, June 11, or Saturday, June 12, 2010, individuals unknown intentionally damaged the “Smokey the Bear/Prevent Forest Fires” display at Laper Park in Kingston.  Evidence at the scene indicates a vehicle may have been driven into the display.  Boot tracks and alcohol containers were also left at the scene.

Theft- JT Foods, Berlin

Information:

During the weekend of Friday, 4/30, and Monday, 5/3, suspects unknown intentionally removed 6 freezer bunkers from JT Foods in the Berlin Mall. 5 bunkers were fiberglass, 5 feet by 2 feet, Red and White in color. 1 other bunker is stainless steel, 3 feet by 4 feet, color of metal. The total value of this theft is approximately $2,800.00.


Vandalism- Dartford Cemetary in City of Green Lake

Information:

During the weekend of March 12-14, Friday to Sunday, subjects unknown intentionally damaged grave stones and burial markers within the Dartford Cemetery, City of Green Lake.  Approximately 35-40 stones were tipped over or dislodged from their base causing thousands of dollars in damage.

    

Vandalism - Private Fence in Township of Marquette

Location of Crime:Private Property, Cth. B, Cth. H and Cth. KK, Township of Marquette Green Lake County, Wisconsin
Crime Status:UNSOLVED - we need a tip
Information:In the evening hours of Thursday, November 5, or the early morning of Friday, November 6, damage was done to a private fence located at Cth.B, Cth.H, and Cth.KK in the Township of Marquette. Individual(s) unknown intentionally cut four strands of fencing over a 300 foot area causing over $1,500.00 in damage. A wire cutter has been recovered concerning this crime.

Bouy Theft

Location of Crime:Spring Lake County Park, Cth FF; Township of Kingston, Green Lake County, WI

Information:Green Lake County places 3 “Danger” buoys at Spring Lake Park, Kingston, every Spring to mark a drop off outside of the swim area. Sometime within the late Summer or early Fall months the 3 “Danger” buoys were stolen from the Lake. The 3 buoys are White in color, approximately 4 feet tall and 20 inches in circumference. The buoys and necessary hardware to place them are valued at over $500.00. Fertilizer Vandalism -Township of Manchester

Information:Within the hours of darkness, Saturday, July 18th to Sunday, July 19th, the valve on a liquid bulk fertilizer tank was opened spilling approximately 100 gallons of starter fertilizer upon the ground.The loss of the fertilizer and clean-up costs will exceed $1,500.00.

Graffiti - City of Markesan

Location of Crime:N. Bridge St., W. John St., Hein Park, and Markesan High School; City of Markesan
Crime Status:SOLVED - reward money may be authorized
Information:On several dates, (Sunday June 21, Monday June 22, and Thursday July 2, 2009), all within the City of Markesan, a paint pen was used to illegally mark "Kings" gang graffiti on property.  The colors used were green, blue, orange, and red.  On or about Thursday, July 2, the same gang graffiti was etched into fresh concrete.  Several hundred dollars of damage has been done thus far. 

Burglary - Dalton Rod and Gun Club

Information:Sometime between Sunday, June 14th, and Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009, the Dalton Rod and Gun club was burglarized. Subjects entered the concession stand and office by force and removed five cases of Bud Light beer, five cases of Budwiser, and one case of Miller Lite. Also stolen were eight boxes of shotgun shells.

Vandalism - Princeton

Location of Crime:Megow Park, area of 500 West Water St., City of Princeton Green Lake County, Wisconsin
Crime Status:UNSOLVED - we need a tip
Information:In the early morning hours of Friday, April 10, 2009, a community built Gazebo, located at Megow Park, City of Princeton, was destroyed. Subjects unknown, mostly likely more than one, intentionally pushed or pulled down the Gazebo. Damage was extensive and is estimated to be over $2500.00.

Vandalism - Mascoutin

Location of Crime:Mascoutin Golf Club, Cth.A, Berlin Green Lake County, Wisconsin
Crime Status:SOLVED - reward money may be authorized
Information:In the evening hours of Tuesday, April 7, or during the early morning of Wednesday, April 8, the Mascoutin Golf Club, Cth.A South of Berlin, was vandalized by means of Graffiti. Two different colors of spray paint, Brown and White, were used to write words and draw images upon equipment and property.
